Location ideas

As our film is based on zombies, we have established similar settings and locations we can use that link to what people expect in zombie movies. Because of where we all live we have decided to use the woods for the first part of our film as our main character is running through them in their dreams. The woods are ideal for as as they are close to where we live and in safe distance for if it gets dark etc. Our next setting will be in a house. We have decided to use one of our group members house as in the film our character wakes up from a dream and walks down stairs so we needed the bedroom and house setting to make it seem realistic. We also need to create a TV broadcast to go with our film as it will play a huge part. We haven't yet decided where we are going to set the TV broadcast but we need to make it seem realistic and look like an actual TV studio. We are also going to use a shot of outdoors which will exaggerate them emptiness and zombies. This shot will probably be on an open field near all of our houses as it is usually empty and in my opinion is an ideal place for it.
This is the woods in which we have decided to use as it is near all of our houses. As well as this is a really good setting for the start of our film, it also has some down sides. For example if it has been raining the ground may become sludgy or slippy. Also, because of the time of year we are filming and the leaves and branches of the trees, it is possible that it will become dark very easily so we need to be aware of these factors when venturing out to film as it may effect the lighting in our frame of the overall outcome of the shot.

As the beginning of our film turns out to be a dream, we needed a bedroom setting for our character to wake up in. We have decided we are going to use a group members house. However other factors may effect us when filming this such as sound from outside. Also depending on the time of day lighting may need to be altered to fit in with the time of day in the script.



The next scene involves our character walking down the stairs to try and find his house mate. For this we are using the same house as before which means that the same factors would be effecting us.
